RouteBuddy can grab track logs from your GPS and let you examine the altitude and speed between points on your journey. If you need terrain or climate information, RouteBuddy provides buttons that send you to the Google Map or Google Earth view for the current map, and terrain data is just one click away once you get to Google. It combines plug-and-play GPS support with high-quality map data, allowing you to create a library of your GPS activities. Deciding where to go while on your trip, and in what order, is very simple, given the unambiguous style of the map and its artful point of interest icons. RouteBuddy is the most advanced mapping application available on Mac OS X. Getting the distance between two points of interest, or two waypoints, is useful and easy.
